I joined Hill Rogers in 1997 and have a Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of New England. I am also a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
I provide advice on tax effective structures, extraordinary transactions, estate planning, analysis of investments and the sale, acquisition, restructure and valuation of businesses. I work across all aspects of tax compliance (income tax, GST, FBT) including tax planning, consolidation and international tax matters and pride myself on providing responsive and customised service.
My clients include family groups, medical practitioners and professionals, manufacturing, service and investment companies with operations both in Australia and overseas as well as non-resident companies doing business in Australia.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and International Business) from the University of Sydney and I'm a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. I've been with Hill Rogers since 2007.
My technical experience in income tax and superannuation provides SMSFs, High Net Worth Individuals and SMEs with extensive expertise. I'm passionate about helping people to plan for the transition between work and retirement in a way that sees their financial goals achieved by providing valuable advice on tax planning and compliance, wealth creation plans, retirement planning and regulatory compliance.
I joined Hill Rogers in 2000 as a superannuation and taxation specialist. I have a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University, I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as well as an accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor with the SMSF Association and a CA SMSF Specialist.
Ming Kei (Larry) Lam
I have significant experience in tax compliance, management consulting, assisting professionals, investors, primary producers and medical practices. I advise on a diverse range of tax and business matters, including optimising business and investment structures and restructure, CGT treatment, winding up, estate planning, cash flow projections and financial analysis.
I have been with Hill Rogers since 2001. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from University of New South Wales, a Master of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and Diploma of Financial Planning. I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Ferdinando (Fred) Scali
I work with clients both domestically and internationally. My particular expertise and interest is advising clients in the areas of taxation, structuring for asset protection, succession planning, retirement planning and estate planning and management.
I am a past member Faculty of Law at the University of Technology Sydney where I taught taxation law for over twelve years and hold both past and present, a range of Directorships including international chambers of commerce and not for profit organisations, including Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Opera Foundation Australia. I'm also a nominated Executor to various Estates.
I joined Hill Rogers in 1975 as a school leaver and was admitted to partnership in 1982 at age 26. I have a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Technology Sydney and a Master of Business (Tax Law) from University of Technology Sydney. I'm a Fellow of the Institute Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (FCA), a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia; I'm also a Chartered Tax Advisor and a Registered Company Auditor.
I specialise in corporate advisory, strategically guiding clients as they navigate through complex financial matters.
I hold a number of board positions and permanent advisory roles within many organisations, whereI provide advice throughout negotiation processes, mergers and acquisitions, share and asset restructuring, other transaction matters and general business advice.
I have held many honorary positions on community organisations including Rotary, the Rugby Club and the Veteran Car Club of Australia.
After 24 successful years as a chartered accountant, I founded Spencer Steer in 1996 which merged with Hill Rogers in 2010. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (FCA) as well as being a Chartered Tax Advisor with The Tax Institute and a Registered Company Auditor.
I work as Portfolio Manager in the Business Solutions division, and have the responsibility for managing everything from small family groups, to the Australian arm of multinational companies.
I started in the Business Services division at the predecessor firm Spencer Steer in 2006, which has since merged into the firm Hill Rogers.
