I joined Hill Rogers in 2000 as a superannuation and taxation specialist. I have a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University, I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand as well as an accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor with the SMSF Association and a CA SMSF Specialist.
Ming Kei (Larry) Lam
I have significant experience in tax compliance, management consulting, assisting professionals, investors, primary producers and medical practices. I advise on a diverse range of tax and business matters, including optimising business and investment structures and restructure, CGT treatment, winding up, estate planning, cash flow projections and financial analysis.
I have been with Hill Rogers since 2001. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from University of New South Wales, a Master of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and Diploma of Financial Planning. I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
My expertise is in providing commercial entities and not-for-profit organisations with expert advice and guidance with their audit and assurance requirements. I am focused on building strong partnerships with my clients by conveying my passion for advising and implementing efficient risk management controls and effecting long term sustainable improvements in business outcomes.

Ferdinando (Fred) Scali
I work with clients both domestically and internationally. My particular expertise and interest is advising clients in the areas of taxation, structuring for asset protection, succession planning, retirement planning and estate planning and management.
I am a past member Faculty of Law at the University of Technology Sydney where I taught taxation law for over twelve years and hold both past and present, a range of Directorships including international chambers of commerce and not for profit organisations, including Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Opera Foundation Australia. I'm also a nominated Executor to various Estates.
I joined Hill Rogers in 1975 as a school leaver and was admitted to partnership in 1982 at age 26. I have a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of Technology Sydney and a Master of Business (Tax Law) from University of Technology Sydney. I'm a Fellow of the Institute Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (FCA), a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia; I'm also a Chartered Tax Advisor and a Registered Company Auditor.
I joined Hill Rogers in 1987 when my own practice merged with the firm. My background includes substantial experience in audit, which gave me first-hand experience of the internal workings of many different companies in many different industry sectors. I now put that expertise to work advising businesses on strategic issues, including strategic planning; business planning; management consulting; mergers, acquisitions and sales; structuring and restructuring. I'm a permanent advisor to many clients’ advisory committees, and enjoy giving the practical, down-to-earth advice that clients need to hear in order to have the best chance of success.
My passion for helping organisations to succeed extends to a raft of positions with not-for-profit and community welfare organisations, particularly a number of independent schools which I advise on financial management and planning.
I joined Hill Rogers as part of the award nominated graduate program, my experience runs across the Super, Audit and Compliance divisions of Hill Rogers. I have a strong passion for optimising business performance through technology and process optimisation which stems from a previous career in the Fintech sector with an ASX listed company.
Chela-Marie Gonzalez is a confident and positive Human Resources Manager, with over 10 years experience in professional services. As the leader of the Hill Rogers Human Resources team, Chela-Marie is responsible for linking the firm’s values and goals to our HR strategy, to ensure we have the best, motivated talent to execute our organisational objectives. Her strong relationship management and influence skills allow her to implement best practice HR Programs including recruitment and talent attraction, employee engagement and organisational change.
After graduating from UWA, I started my accountancy career in 2006 and became a Chartered Accountant in 2009. I am also a Chartered Tax Adviser. After 9 years at a top international mid-tier accounting firm, I moved to Sydney and joined Hill Rogers as a Tax Manager in 2016. I specialise in corporate tax compliance and advisory, international taxation, corporate structuring, tax consolidations, and mergers/acquisition transactions. My taxation compliance and advisory experience has helped many Australian and international businesses operating across a broad range of industries.
My extensive experience as a professional in audit and assurance began in 2008. I am a Chartered Accountant and now have specific experience with many local government councils, local government service organisations, member based groups and not-for-profit organisations.
